Under His Wings Loft is owned and operated by Carl and Gayle Eisenhart.
We raced pigeons in the late 60's and early 70's with the Shamokin, PA racing club. We knew that one day if we had a permanent residence and the Lord was willing we would once again breed and race pigeons. I was mentored in the sport by Frank Voterro who had a strong colony of Huysken Van Riels. Frank gave me pigeons and I was off to the races. It was a thrill to win an old bird race while in my teens.
So much has changed since those days. We began an in-depth research into the sport about two years ago. My wife Gayle and I decided to start over again in the fall of 2008. We converted an out building into a breeding loft and built a new racing loft.
We were blessed to meet David Scott of Crosslander's Breeding Loft where we acquired most of our Breeding stock. David has taken us under his wing so to speak and has mentored us most of the way. I made a trip to Crosslanders in the spring of 2009 where David put me through his grading program and selection process. I learned much and we continue to keep a learning mind set in this sport that is ever changing and improving. Our goal here at Under His Wings Loft is to breed and race winners at the Club, Combine and One Loft Races! With Selective Breeding, Serious
Grading and Superior Training our desire is to meet this goal, to ever improve in this sport and to never pass on or sell a pigeon that does not meet our high standards of quality.
